Timer wiring

I am want to install a timer system. I am looking at an Intermatic T104R timer. My pump 1HP and is wired for 240V operation. Power is supplied by 20 amp service. I am installing a CircuPool SI+30 Plus SWG.

I have 2 questions.

Will this timer handle powering both? If not, what would you recommend?

Can I wire the timer to control both the pump and SWG or should I wire it to control the pump and wire the SWG with constant power and rely on the flow switch to control it?

That timer will be fine.

Wire both the pump and the SWG to the output of the timer. Do not depend on the flow switch.
