Can the operation of an autocover be controlled through Pentair's intellitouch or easytouch system? PB indicates it operation is strictly manual with a key. It makes sense you wouldn't want to remotely cover someone up. I'm just curious now...
That may be a local requirement but nationally, I don't believe you're limited to a key switch. The switch supplied with my auto cover was not a key switch.
Having a remote control shouldn't be an issue either, but as you already stated, automatic closure would not be smart.
If my memory is correct, I think the only requirement is that switch placement should allow full view of the pool when closing.
Keys are not required, but the location of the open/close control does need to have a clear view of the pool. Operating the cover when you can't see the pool is very dangerous.
