Cloudy Water - SLAM Question

I have gone back over my additions and have actually added 862ml of liquid stabiliser, so I'm gong to assume for now that the reading is 30 - phew, we got there in the end.

Pump is running, I'll test the FC again later and add as needed.

Yayyyy checked lunchtime and my pool is looking so much better. The FC had gone down to 8 so I've topped up with chlorine to make it up to 12.

I am sorry to confuse you all, I have added 862ml of stabiliser so far (went back through my jotted down notes) so that means my CYA should be just about right. - which was the total amount not the clear non mixed liquid.

ETA - the FC is now 14 - big too high me thinks and the CYA is now between 40 & 50 - time to consult poolmath again. I WILL get this pool sparkling by the weekend.

Thanks to this site my pool is now sparkling clean and so much nicer to swim in. Here are a couple of pictures from last week, it's got even clearer since then. Both piccies were taken under the net because teh sun was just so bright - perfect for swimming :)

My latest test shows:
FC - 5
CC - 0
PH - 7.8
TA - 100
CH - 275
CYA - 40

The only thing I'm a bit concerned about now is the high TA, should I lower it or leave it as is? The PH fluctuates between 7.6 to 7.8 and the other figures have remained more or less the same. The pool will probably being use for another 6 weeks before the weather changes.

That's not all that high. Just keep adding acid to maintain the pH and it will come down all by itself.

Thanks Richard, I'll add the acid tomorrow - pools still really clear - makes me really happy to think how easy and cheap this method is - frugal living is my middle name lol
