Searching didn't turn up anything, just wonder how many people have ever thought of practicing casting and lure action in the pool?
Practice fishing in the pool?

I've done it... vinyl liner. They were "weedless" jigs so very little chance of snagging anything. I wouldn't go throwing a spoon or a lure with bare trebles on it...
I've thrown floating crank baits and top water lures in mine. Actually pretty cool seeing them work from so far away. Never got a single bite though 
Wait until Woody finds this thread. Be ready for a Whopper of a story, but we may not want to know what he's caught in that pool of his. :lol:
My six year son does it all the time. That's how he learned to cast. We use a small rubber practice bait which has no hooks.
I wonder what the neighbors would think if I pulled off the cover and drilled some holes for ice fishing...
It would be more fun doing it on the neighbor's pool! Go all out! Set up a little plywood shack and get a good fire going in a barrel, have a few frozen fish on a stringer you could pull up out of the water...
I suppose a plaster pool has it's advantages for dealing with hooks. Nice to see I'm not the only one with this idea.
