I am switching from a Hayward cartridge filter to a 14 inch pro sand filter for my 15 foot intex hard plumbed metal frame pool. The filter calls for 50 lounges #20 silica. However when I went to lowe's tonight they have Aqua Chem Sand Plus which on the box says to use half as much sand. Ie for this filter I would only need one 25 pound box as I gather it expands.
Can I use this? Should I use this? Or should I go get 50 pounds of normal sand.
