Evaporation question

I just completed a new pool. Its about a month old and I have issues with water evaporating or a leak. I haven't tried the bucket test but will do it tomorrow. Whats normal evaporation in the dfw area. Mine is ranging to about 2 inches a week. Thanks.

2 inches a week isn't excessive here this time of year. Do the bucket test; that's the only way to know for sure.

2 inch a week isnt unheard of. Especially if you get a lot of direct sunlight all day.

Ive lost almost an inch since saturaday with prolly only get about 5 or 6 hrs direct sunlight on the pool each day.

I was worried about mine. I did the bucket test last night and lost 1/8" through evaporation over the night. I didnt think I would loose that much at night but I did.
