I've jumped right in after receiving my 1st TF-100 test kit.
7/21 ~ 7:00 PM
FC = 6
CC = .5
CH = 450
TA = 50
CYA = 50
Therefore, SLAM FC Goal = 20
7/22 BOUGHT LOTS OF BLEACH!
7/22 ~ 8:00 PM
FC = 4.5
CC = .5
CH = 300
TA = 60
CYA = 50
8:15 PM
Added 363 oz 8.25% bleach
Added Baking Soda (don’t recall exact amount but followed Pool Math)
9:00 PM
FC = 20.5
11:15 PM
FC = 18.0
Added 113 oz 8.25% bleach
7/23 ~ 6:30 AM
FC = 18.5
Added 64 oz 8.25% bleach
6:30 PM
FC = 17.0
Added 121 oz 8.25% bleach
7/24 ~ 12:15 AM
FC = 17.5
Added 121 oz 8.25% bleach
6:30 AM
FC = 23.0
9:30 PM
FC = 15
CC = .5
CH = 250
TA = 90
CYA = 50
Added 185 oz 8.25 bleach
10:45 PM
FC = 21
7/25 ~ 6:30 AM
FC = 21.5
tested again to double check
FC = 21.5
Three questions:
1) Is it possible for FC to go up over night like that?
2) After testing for FC, I have noticed a couple of times that after the test sample has set for a minute or two, it turns back to slightly pink. Is this normal or am I performing the test incorrectly?
3) I know the best place to draw the pool water sample is from a foot under the surface of the pool. Is it better to pull near a return jet or away from a return jet?
I do still have a floater in the pool with chlorine pucks. They are mostly dissolved...was just waiting for them to be completely gone before removing and trashing (for good).
Quickly becoming a huge fan AND advocate for TF-100 and the BBB method!
