My older gunite inground pool has a pvc or some type of plastic horizontal band just below the bottom of the coping and the top of the side wall. It is broken in places and pool water can get in behind the wall under the deck. The plastic drip edge looks like it was laid and the cement deck poured on top and I can see no way to install anything in its place except some caulk, but I don't know what kind to use or even if caulk can be used. Any ideas?
