Hello! Bought a new house over the winter and I now have a 15" above ground pool with 6600 gallons of water. I've tested it and ph is 6.8, FC is 0, TA is 40 and CYA is 30-50.

So which problem do I address first, TA, FC or pH?

Thanks for any help you can offer!
Jackie

Welcome to TFP!

Fist off what test kit are you using - pool stores are notoriously inaccurate. If you already have a recommended test kit and the numbers are from it:

The pool math link above or in my signature will help with determining quantities.

Ph first - wait 30 test to confirm then:

FC - Pool math should show you a target of 3-7 and the appropratie volume of liquid chlorine (bleach).

Feel free to post up what you are planning to put in and the volume and we will help you to confirm.

Cheers!
Chris
