Cement Pool Pad

After reading a few of the posts about using concrete I have a few questions.
1) What psi of concrete should be used?
2) At what thickness did you use? 4" or 5"
3) How long do you have to wait before setting the pool up?
4) Did you use any slope on the pad? e.g. 1/4" per 4'

I'm on the same boat, got an estimate today. He said standard 4" should be fine, due to even spread of the load. I'm going to wait a week before the pool install, I'm putting up a 18' as well. I think it's 1/4" first 4' from the house and then 1/8" then after.

1) Not crucial. With a well spread load anything will work.
2) That depends on soil conditions. If you get a lot of shifting/heave in the winter, or you have loose soil that might shift, you want a thicker pour.
3) Four weeks is ideal.
4) The pool needs to be level. Even a 1/4" per 4' would put a 16' pool right at the limit for slope and that is assuming everything else was perfect.
