I recently replaced the pump, heater, and controller in my Hottub. I used the recommended replacements for the original equipment. An ao smith pump and a gecko control unit. Since then my tub will randomly heat up to 105 degrees even with the thermostat set on 99. The strange thing is it doesn't do it all the time.
I will add that the tub sat unused and drained for 2 years. I replaced the pump first. A couple of weeks later the control board burned where the spade connector for the black wire from the pump connected to it. Then I replaced the control board.
Can anyone give me any idea of what might be wrong?
