Hi Everyone.. I am new to your forum and need help with our above ground pool.. We have never had a problem like this.. In the last few days our pool has become "cloudy". Chemicals test fine.. Ph was a little low but other than that the test strip was perfect.we have run pump continuously for 48 hours. No signs of clearing.. We are getting really concerned.. Please, anyone have this problem before? Thanks for listening..
It is a 24ft round pool-not a sand filter. :(

:testresults: General statements like "Everything's fine", and "pH is low" do not provide enough information to make informed decisions and sound recommendations. Do you know what your CYA (stabilizer) level is? That is an important determinant of the chlorine level needed to properly sanitize your pool. Also, what type of chlorine do you use?

Given your cloudy water, it is probable that you need to shock your pool (we call it the SLAM Process).

If the test strips are all you have to go on right now, go ahead and post the specific test results. That is better than nothing.

Eventually, you will need a more accurate testing solution for the long term. I would suggest taking a look at the Recommended Test Kits. One of these kits will be needed if you need to SLAM the pool.
