Followed all instructions to a "T"... plugged in.. turned on... worked great flow for a bit... then flow reduced and coded 90 with alarm.. kept pumping but much less flow... checked filters and pipes and still low flow... anybody have ideas other than clogged filters/pipe.. we ran it without ANY filters for a bit.. no help.. How long did it run before you got the low flow error?
What is the pump flow rate (or pump model) that you have?
Which model intex saltwater chlorine generator (swg} do you have?
First thing to check is to confirm that the flow switch "paddle" is moving freely and nothing is blocking it from "closing".

Pump ran fine with great pressure to outflow for a couple of hours and with nothing I could see that changed....the flow decreased to nearly nothing and light and beep came on.

The issue isn't that the low flow error comes on... it is that there is actually significantly less flow than the first couple of hours it ran.. the flow switch paddle seems to be free moving but even it it wasn't it does not seem like enough of an obstruction to cause such a reduction in flow... I don't have a pressure gauge or a flow meter.. but a subjective estimate is that the flow is a third to a fifth of what it was at first (when there was not flow error). We we not outside when the "change" happened and only accidentally heard the low flow alarm...
How is the impeller joined to the motor.... is there a clutch or magnetic connection that would allow slippage in case a piece of something got lodged in the pump housing somewhere?

the pump flow valve does move freely and the pump is the model CS8111 with an outflow of 2000gallons per hour. How can I tell if the psi on the filter increased or not? The pump makes the same pitch whether it had good outflow or not.

Try to run the pump on its own, without any other equipment connected to it, just a couple hoses.
Then you will know if it is the pump's fault or not.

Those intex cartridge filters are not great, and afaik have no easy way to measure the pressure. Have you tried running without the cartridge to see if the flow goes up?
Either you've got a clogged hose/pipe. (which you already verified ok) A loose pump impeller. (less likely but still possible) Or you lost the 'prime' to the pump somehow.
Check for any blockage to the intake or output side of the pump. Or a loose connector allowing air into the system? Did a valve get turned partially closed? Did you bleed all the air out of the filter canister after you closed the top?
The newer Intex valves have a built in relief valve in case the intake was to get clogged. This relief valve opens and allows air into the system. If you have this type of valve, make sure it isn't leaking at this point.
Go through the entire system, systematically checking for blockage or air infiltration. Clear any blockage and bleed off any air. If all else fails... you'll need to deal with Intex Customer Service.
Let us know what you find as it may well help someone else, either now or in the future.

The relief valve isn't there to save the pump, it's there to save the poor soul who got stuck to the intake due to suction.
