Pump is whining

Verified by meter that it's running 230v..

OK. So search for a 1HP 2-speed pump whether Hayward or Pentair ... most are 230V.

Do you have any high water flow needs? Spa, water feature, solar, etc?
If not, I would stick with the Pentair Superflo or the Hayward SuperPump ... you do not need anything bigger than that.

No sir. The only thing I have is a water fall and it has it's own pump.
