I have a 3 week old plaster pool and I am using the chlorinator they gave me with the 3in tabs. The water looks and feels good, so what should I be testing? All the tests? in the TS-100?
You can skip the CYA test for now - unless you've put in 15 lbs of pucks so far, it won't read anyway. I hope you've been keeping tabs on how many you've added so far!
The crucial thing to keep track of with fresh plaster is the PH. You don't want to let the PH go above 8.0, and preferably not above 7.8.
I would wait until it has been four weeks since the pool was plastered, and then test and adjust everything. You can test anything you want to right now but you don't want to adjust TA, CH, or CYA until it has been four weeks.
