Water still green

Please , need advice. I have passed OCLT the last 3 nights, FC is around 15, TA is 70, PH is 7.2 CYA is 40. When I backwash the water is not really dirty looking, I am keeping the FC above shock level running pump 24/7 for 8 days now, also using skimmer sock.

I have all of the leaves and debris out of the pool. I can see my feet when standing in the pool but green and cloudy, brushing daily and using my Polaris 65 also daily.

Any advice? Am I missing something? I don't remember it taking this long to clear up in the past.

I have brushed everything, including skimmer.

Keep on keepin' on. With green cloudy water, you still have algae issues.

Save some of your testing reagent. No real need to perform the OCLT until your pool water sparkles.

But how else do you know you are above shock level?

Test your water in the evening, then calculate a dosage that will return your FC to Shock value. Done.

That is not the OCLT. The OCLT requires two tests and no chlorine additions.

Makes sense. Looks like I might have initially had my shock level too level low, should be at least 15, I had it around 12 at first.
