Dead Mosquitos in swimming pool

Not sure if t his is in the right board.. but if it needs to be moved then feel free to do so.

I have dead mosquitos in my pool. Will mosquito dunks work to solve the issue. Last week I did not run my pump for 2 days due to pump failures. That has been solved so my pump is running now. My chemicals are balanced. Maybe the issue was due to the pump not running for 2 days? How long should I wait for the issue to clear(if that was the case)?

If you can see a LOT of them, i doubt they are mosquitoes but some recent hatch of who knows what. The skimmer will handle them or you can scoop them out.

My pump is not priming correctly i think that has to do with the issue...

Mosquito dunks are for killing mosquito larvae. If your pool is properly chorinated that will do the same thing. I would fix the pumping issues, and not throw extra stuff into the pool.

Mosquito dunks are only for pools that are not in use. The active ingredient is not safe for prolonged human exposure.
