After algae - what needs cleaning and/or replacing?

Any advice on what to clean and/or replace after an algae outbreak.

Solar Cover?
I had this on before the outbreak, but has been off since sitting rolled up in a wheel barrel in my shed. I am fearful to use it again. The cover is new, so I don't want to chuck it. Should this be cleaned before using again? How?

Nature2 filter?
Should this be replaced or did the shock treatment take care of this?

DE?
After shocking to treat for algae, should filter pump be backwashed (even if filter pressure is ok)?

Thanks in advance.

Solar cover - make a 1:10 ratio bleach to water spray it down and give it a light scrubbing. That'll kill the bulk, and your correctly maintained pool water will take care of the rest.

Nature 2 - not sure about the physical presence of this one, but stop using it. I'll let someone else with a little more knowledge chime in.

Filter/pump - don't worry about it. Shock level water constantly passed through them, so that is how they got clean.
