Cleaning Filters on Grass a Bad Idea?

Ok first year pool owner and I was wondering what that dry patch of grass is in my yard. I thought it was just a sprinkler issue but made sure it was getting plenty of water and still a dead spot.

Then I got to thinking that it was the same spot where I cleaned my filters out a couple months ago. Am I sensing a few head shakes and chuckles? Would appreciate a few comments to see if I'm right or wrong and if so thanks for another lesson learned....

Well the only thing I can think is if there was a ton of oil caked in the filter. If you want to be really safe, hose the grass down when you are done cleaning next time.
