I have a Hayward Tiger Shark electric cleaner. It does clean the spot that it travels over but seems to want to sit in one spot on the pool and go back and forth over the same spot. It basically doesn't make any turns and just goes back and forth from side wall to side wall. Also, it doesn't climb the walls. It looks like it is trying to but never even gets up a few inches.
Due to where my electrical outlet, I'm forced to use an extension cord. The Tiger Shark manual suggests that an extension cord not be used - doesn't say why....
Could these problems possibly be due to reduced voltage getting to the unit due to the extension cord? Perhaps if I used a shorter/heavier gauge extension cord?
Thanks!
