I have been working on my pool for a couple weeks now and seem to be going in circles. I have gotten the floor of the pool clear of some of the muck that had collected down there, but every time I brush it, I stir up giant clouds of "green" which I can only assume to be algae. The pool right now, is clear enough to see to the bottom, but has a green/cloudy hue to it. The weather here in Delaware has been warm enough to try and open it, but still a tad chilly.
My chemical readings using the test kit came out to:
PH - 6.88 (digital meter from work makes this test simple)
FC - 8.5
CC - .5
TA - 110
CH - 210
CYA - ~33
I know right away that the PH is a little low. Just want to make sure that I am on the right track.
I'll post photos later, since I am writing this from work. This is my first year using the sand filter so I am not sure how long to have to expect to wait for it to get crystal clear.
Thanks,
Barry
