Understanding My Test Results

I have it too and pumice will not scrap it off ... I think I need a harder pumice. Usually a build up of minerals due to constant evaporation especially if your pH gets too high and you have high CH.

Posted from my Droid with Tapatalk ... sorry if my response is short ;)

I finished the 30% drain and refill and new numbers are:

FC 1.5
CC 0
pH 7.4
TA 150
CH 250-275 was not sure if it was purple or blue
CYA 42-ish

I believe my fill water is CH-250, was going to test fill water for all today. I need to add chlorine per pool calculator of 144oz. Is TA too high?

Thanks everyone!

The TA is a bit high but leave it alone for now and get the chlorine in there pronto....much more important. Keep your FC in the 3-6 range and never let it get below 3 ppm.

There'll be plenty of time to test and adjust TA after your pool is chlorinated and balanced.
