thanks jblizzle...any idea about the white line/film at prev. water level? Pumice will take it off but acid will not, no bubbling after applying and very little effect.
I have it too and pumice will not scrap it off ... I think I need a harder pumice. Usually a build up of minerals due to constant evaporation especially if your pH gets too high and you have high CH.

The TA is a bit high but leave it alone for now and get the chlorine in there pronto....much more important. Keep your FC in the 3-6 range and never let it get below 3 ppm.
There'll be plenty of time to test and adjust TA after your pool is chlorinated and balanced.
