We have a 20 x 4 intex pool ultra frame. we are changing over to a sand filter pump 2650gph. My question is about the skimmer. We have an inside skimmer attachment and the sand filter obviously has one too. Will we need to keep the intex skimmer we have installed already WITH the sand filter skimmer or will the sand filter pull the trash to the sand filter good enough. i guess i am asking because the sand filter hose is under water pulling and our current skimmer is on top of the water and I am wondering how trash that is on top of the water gets into the sand filter skimmer? Does that make any sense what so ever?
