I have a 24' round above ground and am shopping for a solar cover. Some say black is best, others clear. Not sure which color and what mil (thickness). So many out there. Thanks for any suggestions, recommendations, etc.
Standard 12 mil blue/silver give the best bang for the buck. thinner ones will only last about a season, thicker ones don't last enough addiional time to justify the higher price and, since the purpose of a cover is to prevent heat loss by evaporation at night and NOT to heat the pool during the day (uncovering the pool is FAR more effective) the color is moot.
