I've installed a $150 LED light bulb along with a new lamp gasket/seal two years ago and assume that if the rubber gasket leaks and wets the electronics in the bulb, the bulb is lost.
I've only had a pool 3 years so don't know what life expectancy to expect from the seal. How often would you replace the $10 rubber seal ?
