Been using this site to learn as much as I can about maintaining my pool. Like the title says, I'm 53 and this is my first pool ever. I have been paying a pool company to maintain my pool but believe I can do this myself at a substantial savings. Looking forward to learning more about pool care and repair from those with the knowledge. By the way it's really hot in Arizona

You are absolutely correct! You CAN do this yourself. Just make sure to obtain the proper test kit - either a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C. The rest is quite simple. Nice to have you with us.
