Running pool with one skimmer off

I have two skimmers and a main drain. Have leak in one return line. Any problems running with one skimmer and main drain off for now? Would it be better to run with skimmer and main drain? Will it even matter since leak is in return line and leaks when filter not running?

But also note that many pools have all the returns connected via a loop of pipe around the pool ... so it may not be possible to isolate the leak by plugging one return

Actually, I am wondering if you are using the "return line" terminology correctly.
Is the leak between the skimmer and the pump (suction line)?
Or after the filter on the way back to the pool (return line)?

It's the line after the filter returning to the pool. Thanks.
