HELP: Can't Keep My Chlorine Levels Up

You guys converted me to the ways of the Trouble Free Pool last year, and I've been swimming happy ever since.

This year, though, I'm having a problem keeping my chlorine levels up, and I'm trying to figure out why.

For instance, today I dumped a load of bleach in the pool at around 10:00 a.m. and 4 hours later, it tested at 14.5 TC (.5 CC). That was at 2:00 p.m. I just tested it now (10:30 p.m.) and I'm down to virtually nil. Nothing. Not even a little pink in the jar.

My pH is stable at 7.5 and hasn't fluctuated.

Total alkalinity is in normal range.

Weather was hot and sunny over the weekend, but today it was cooler (well, less hot) and overcast.

Pool temp is around 70.

The water is crystal clear and looks quite inviting.

The only thing that's off is the CYA, which I can't get a reading on at all. Could the lack of CYA cause the pool to gobble up chlorine like that?

I'm going broke trying to feed my pool's chlorine habit. Any advice would be appreciated!
