I have access to a rather large (70 LPM) Commercial Hydrophonic Aerator, picture a Large Aquarium Aerator X 50 or more. Has anyone tried using something like that to raise the pH in thier pool or would it be a total waste of time?
I don't have an opinion on the aerator....surely it would work.
Typically, raise pH with 20 Mule team borax....then drop TA (if necessary) following the article in Pool School. In other words, raising pH with aeration means your will permanently lower TA and you may not want to do that.
You are a candidate to lower TA permanently. Aeration is what you need to do. Since you did not post a TA number, he didn't know if you truly wanted to lower your TA or not.
