Hello,
I've maintained my parent's pool for the last 20 years or so and am thinking about creating a vacuum as seen here and on other sites (for example, http://www.poolgeniusnetwork.com/forum/ ... 2#comments).
This does seem a bit expensive, so I was wondering if anyone has ever tried an above ground filter/pump combination to vacuum an inground pool. The pool is 16x32, about 8 1/2 ft in the deep end. Would a setup such as the below link have the power/ability to pump water, or does it strictly need to be below the water level? Not necessarily this exact combo, but something similar w/ a 1HP pump and cartridge filter.
I'm just thinking of a way that would get the job done without vacuuming through the sand filter, as we've been doing previously. Thanks in advance.
