agp winter cover clips

getting ready to put the pool to bed for the winter
2nd winter of owing a pool 1st winter before the rain than snow kept the cover from flapping in the wind
just wondering if it is a good idea to use these clips as in southwestern ontario we get a far amount of snow
thought maybe the weight would bend the top rail
anyone use these

Honestly we used those clips 1 winter, what a waste of money...as ice and snow built up on the cover it pulled on the clips and they either broke or popped off. In my opinion they are a waste of money...cheaper to use like old bleach bottles filled 1/2 to 3/4 way full of water and hang them from the grommets on the sides where the wind hit.
