OK, the cool pictures thing was to cruise for readers!
But we do have PIX, just not sure how cool they are!
I took apart my Pentair Pump today to put in the gasket kit and I knew I had a hosed Seal Plate.
I didn't expect the motor mount to be screwed. The top pic, you can see where the mount broke(powdered) while taking the bolt out. I had to use vice grips to hold the mounting ferule that had long since broke out of the seal plate. I had the 2 on the bottom totally disintegrated as you can see on the seal plate. One of the motor mounts on the top is cracked. I didn't shoot a pic of it because I was crying too much!
It is a marathon motor. I have the screws that attach the mount mount soaking in Kroil Oil now.
So my question is, should I waste time soaking the mounter mount nutz in the hope I can get the Motor Mount and freshen up the brushes and commutator in the pump by my pump rebuilder.
Mainly a Motor Mount question.

p.s. I think the reason why all this happened is that this pump circumference is smaller than the OEM pump. That makes it where the pump does not sit on the support cradle like it should, it hangs. This caused the whole deal to be under stress and vibration.
