Planning deck..any lessons learned to share

I'll try that tomorrow... I forget exactly how it was framed up to the edge, but remember I thought it looked pretty good. They did mickey some wood pieces around the front edge between the support rails to attach the face trim to. The only thing was he used some type of nail on that, but it definitely needed to be screwed in.

I have a 'more to love' type of figure... and it seems to be very solid under foot, and other parts. :D
 
I built a deck around my 28 ft doughboy and connected to my existing deck. The material on the addition is composite. I was told that chlorinated pool water would degrade pressure treated wood a little faster. they also commented that splinters would be a problem. I had a post of my deck early summer.
