I'm purchasing a new pump tomorrow as the bearings are gone in my old pump. This is the pump i'm looking at buying Hayward 2.0 HP/2 Speed Power-Flo® Matrix™ Series Pump for $299 new. Any problems with running a 2 hp pump with my setup? See my signature for specifics and thanks for the input! Oh and i plan on mostly running the pump on low speed.

A pump that large isn't preferred, though it won't be a big problem if you run it on low speed nearly all the time. Larger pumps cost more to run and cause the filter to filter less well. Both of these effects are reduced by running on low speed, but not eliminated.

I ended up getting a 1-1/2 hp Hayward power flo xl couldn't find any 2 speed 1 hp so I just went with what was originally on the pool but thanks again for your help.
