The water level is too high and I'm just about to super chlorinate. Do I backwash first to my desired level or do I superchlorinate first? My main concern is sending all that dirt and algae through the other end of the sand filter.
I'd drain first if my only reason was to lower the water level. But, if there is stuff in the bottom that I needed to vacuum out, I'd use the waste function of the multiport and vacuum as much as I could out while lowering the level. The 'two birds one stone' thing...
