Ok, I've done some searching and the concensus here is that I have wasted three years of cartridge $$ on the Nature2 system. I'm not going to do that again. Can I just leave the cartridge in the loop and forget about it, or should I remove the whole device from the line?

By the way, I've been on here for a half day and already I've learned more than the three years since we put the pool in.

You can just leave it in place. If you ever have to do any plumbing in the future you can remove it then if you want to.

We took the cartridge out completely. Then, when the unit itself eventually developed a leak, I deplumbed it from the system.
