Once the pool looks good and test results are good how much bleach do I need to add to my pool and how often? I know it has to do with how often pool is used and sunlight and such but is there a general idea of how often and how much I will need to add bleach?

If you've already shocked..........you know what your CYA level is I presume? If so..see the CYA /Chlorine chart in pool school to see what your recommended range is for that level. You can play with the pool calculator to see what effect adding a certain amount of bleach to your volume of water will have. Expect to lose on average 2-3ppm of FC per day. Your pool may vary depending on bather load and amount of full sun.
woodyp is correct - use the pool calculator. I'm still coming out of "green swamp mode" so I'm testing every other day. I expect to test twice a week once I'm balanced (the POOL !! ... not ME !!)
