I just bought a home and when brushing the pool earlier I notice there is a white cloud coming off the wall everytime I go over the wall. Th pool has sat for at least a month with the pump running only running a couple times. The water is pretty clear and I have shocked it once. I just was wondering what this could be? Is this just a calcium build up or could it mean my plaster is bad? Thanks for the help!

Since you just shocked, I'd bet on dead algae.
It could be a number of things, dead algae, plaster dust, pollen, dirt..... Do you have any test results?
