Open early?

Our pool is ugly to look at...a Nor'easter destroyed the cover a week after putting it on. The water is crystal clear but their is algae on the bottom and it is yuck looking. I doubt that the water will be warm enough to use before mid May (no heater).

I'm thinking that if I open it now, it would at least look nice for guests and wouldn't be too much of an added expense since it is so cool and wouldn't need much pump running time or chlorine.. Am I thinking right?

I agree! I won't be able to swim in mine for atleast a few more weeks but I still opened it early. Good to do it even if only to get it clean.
