Have hung a stuffed sock (SS) under top skimmer suction line as it's an L-shape with a temporary deep pipe sucking water from about 1 meter below surface. The SS is hung with some plastic zipties at about 20 centimeters below the end of the pipe.

SS contains 1.5 kilograms CyA. How long approximately before this would mostly be dissolved?

Pump is on 24 hours/day, running at 99watts, 799rpm, on day 21 since new surface.

If one side of the SS touches the new plaster surface, am assuming no negative impact to the area.

To aid the disolving process you can squeeze the sock a few times...and should s. We also suggest hanging the sock in front of the return vs. the skimmer to avoid the sock touching your pool surface. Sometimes hanging it from a pole in front of the return is required if there is no anchor point to tie to. In all the CYA can be disolved in about 24-48 hours, but you'll want to wait a week until you remeasure CYA with your test kit as it takes a few days to show up in test results.

Squeezing the sock definitely helps! Once it has soaked about 24 hours it will be well saturated and you can squeeze it with your hands until it all disperses out of the sock. If you just let the sock sit there it can take quite a while for it to all disperse.
