So I decided on a very reputable company here in the west-end of Toronto to install my inground pool. They are almost complete and we have been very pleased with their work. However, my neighbour, who went with another company, pointed out that we do not have a sump pump and this contractor would never install a pool without one.
When I asked my pool contractor about it, his reply was that since we have no ground water pressure, there is no need for a sump pump. I do believe him as the quality of his work has been good and we have other friends who have used them.
What do I make of this? I couldn't help but notice that 3 other pools that were installed on our street all have sump pumps.
Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
