Thanks Matj, but I gotta have more information! I knew I had seen detailed instructions somewhere and I found them at PoolForum. Some of us need Take-You-By-The-Hand-Step-by-Step procedures and I am one of them! Maybe "How to Lower Your Alkalinity" should be a stickey here? btw, I re-read your entire post and remember reading it before and felt so sorry for you. Those pool guys, gotta keep an eye on them.
