Challenger Pool Pump Humming

Hello...I have a Challenger Pool pump that is Humming and then shuts off. The pump is not locked up and I changed the capacitor but still will not run. I can turn the shaft and the motor will run for a few seconds but it sounds like it is only running at 25-50% power and then shuts down. This pump is at least 10 years old. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Check the voltage line to line under load. If the voltage is correct under load, your motor is probably bad.

Note: Don't do anything that you're not sure that you can do safely.
