Our pool was built in June 2015 with a colored plaster. We had staining and white spots all over the pool right away. The builder re-plastered it in 2017 (at their expense), and the stains, spots reappeared. They then tried acid washing it, but the stains, spots returned and now our plaster is extremely rough. They are trying to say it is due to pool maintenance; however, after reading the article, White Spots of New Plaster Pools, posted on this site on March 20, 2013, I believe it is due to improper plastering techniques. The article discusses having the plaster tested. Whom do I contact to have our plaster tested? I do not want to have the pool company perform the test, but rather an outside source. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
