Start up - Filling pool question

So we are filling our brand new inground gunite pool with stonescape mini pebble. It's a little more than half way full now but our start up guy cannot come out until M onday (it's Saturday morning right now). He said it's ok to have the pool be full for a whole day without doing anything but I wanted to see what everyone else thought? This guy will be showing us how to turn on our equipment so our equipment won't be running until M onday either.

Its fine for a day or so and they're still in charge of the pool and chemistry at this point....but DO NOT stop the water flowing in until it is entirely filled up. If you stop it midway you risk having marks on your new pretty finish.
