    Alkalinity too high?

My alkalinity this morning was 130.
    Is that too high?

No. High Alk is only a problem if it causes the PH to drift up too high frequently, so that acid dosing becomes annoyingly frequent (usually more of a problem with a pool with water features or SWGs).

If your pH is stable then don't worry about it.

Ok. The PH did go up by .2 on me. Went from 7.5 to 7.7. I adjusted the PH back down. I'll wait and see if it drifts up again.

    Re: Alkalinity too high?

That's fine. What will happen is each time you add acid to lower the PH down, the TA will drop a little too. So eventually the TA will get into the recommended range and the PH should stabilize for you.
