Finally got the test kit today.
Good news, over the weekend PH actually got up to around 7.3, I lowered it with Muriatic Acid to what looks a little over 6.8
Since getting the test kit today, I think I might be fighting the wrong battle. TC 1.0, ph~6.9, TA 240, CH 150 and CYA - way over 100
I'm always fighting spots of little green algae but seem to keep in check with Chlorine. (but after reading Pool School i don't think I ever really attacked it as vigorously as I should have)
With the CYA as high as it is (tested 3X) I'm thinking I need to do a partial drain. (Luckily we have a 12,000 gallon cistern that's currently full, hopefully that will also help lower my TA at the same time)) Once I have CYA where it should be then I was thinking I should fix my other issues.
Any thoughts? Am I out in left field???
