Any plumbing experts around? Sand to Cartridge swap.

Hi. I am hoping to swap in this Hayward C3030 to replace my sand filter. The current plumbing doesn't look very efficient to me.

Any suggestions, keeping in mind that I would like, if possible, to keep / reuse the check valve before the sand filter and also the solar diversion valve thing.

Depends on your preference. I'm not an expert per se but the things I would want to get rid of are the flex pvc pipes and any pipes that run at odd angles. But since things are pretty tight in there you may not have the luxury of running all rigid pvc and nice 45 and 90 degree angles.
