I'm trying to plan for an upcoming week long vacation. We have a SWG but have been using bleach because of low temps. We just turned on the SWG today. I try to keep our chlorine around 8, per the CYA chart. Although I think I can drop that down 5 now that the SWG is on.
I'm adding acid about every 2 days because we are still fighting high ph from the new plaster. We have a bubble wrap solar cover. Should we slam the pool, cover it, and turn the pump off?

I am not far from you and my water is 71 degrees. That's warm enough for the SWG.

For the vacay you can bring the pool up to SLAM level with bleach, turn the SWG off, and cover. It will be fine for a week.

Yippee :flower:

addendum: I'd let the pump run a few hours a day just to keep that water circulating while gone.
