My resurfacing was about a year ago, and I'm starting to get some mustard algae. Old brush is toast, whats the current best brush to use? I have Midnight blue quartzscape, so don't want to hurt my surface (I have abalone too, if that matters). Do brushes with stainless bristles degrade/abraid the surface? Is the whale tale thing a gimmick or useful?

Thanx for any input,

Joel

If I had Abalone, I wouldnt use a steel brush. I may be wrong about that, but I would err on the side of caution for sure. Don't skimp on a brush and get a high quality stiff bristled one and any of those will be good.

Why are you getting Mustard Algae do you think?

PS: lots of people love the Whale tail, but I figure I get enough agitation without it, and I like being able to maneuver the brush easily, so I havent tried it.
